The host, Stephen Mangan

TV comedian, stage actor and movie star Stephen Mangan will host the BIFM Awards 2017.

Best known for his TV roles in Alan Partridge, Green Wing and Episodes, Stephen is a charming and funny host who will bring his much-loved British humour to the Awards.

Stephen is not only a TV comedian, but has also starred on Broadway and in several hit movies, including Billy Elliot, Confetti and Rush, and as the voice of the title role in Postman Pat: The Movie.

Stephen is also an experienced host, and has appeared on Have I Got News for You, 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown, Celebrity Mastermind and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and hosted several high-profile awards, including the British Academy Television, Craft Awards and the Evening Standard British Film Awards.

The Soul Brothers will be the live band performing at the BIFM Awards 2017.

Flawless vocals, dazzling choreography, sharp suits and the tightest backing band this side of the seventies! The Soul Brothers show is an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza of the world’s greatest funky soul and Motown hits, guaranteed to set the party on fire.

The Soul Brothers show is the brainchild of Heshima Thompson – vocalist, dancer, actor and bandleader. Heshima’s CV includes performing with some of the world’s biggest names and on the biggest stages. He has toured with Amy Winehouse and written songs for her album; worked with Rudimental, Taio Cruz, John Newman and Salam Remi (The Fugees, Cee Lo Green) among many others; and clocked up an online following in the millions on Youtube.
Heshima Thompson is also a regular face on some of the UK’s biggest TV dramas, including Prime Suspect, Spooks, Eastenders and The Bill.
