The BIFM Awards judging process is conducted by an independent panel of industry experts. Each category is led by a Lead Judge who is an expert in their field.

The judging commences following the entry closing date of 19 April 2017 (30 June for Lifetime Achievement Award). The judging process consists of 2 rounds:

1. Round one: Written submission

The category judging panel will conduct a review of the written submission and score each entry against the criteria.

For People and Impact categories the written submission will count for 25% of the overall score.

For Innovation categories the written submission will count for 40% of the overall score.

Entrants will be informed of whether they have been successful in this round and if they are now through to the Presentation Round.

2. Round two: Presentation round

If the entry is successful in Round One the applicant(s) will be invited to present and attend an interview with the category judging panel. Interviews will take place in London during June and July.

For People and Impact categories the presentation round will count for 75% of the overall score.

For Innovation categories the presentation round will count for 60% of the overall score.

3. Finalists announcement

Finalists will be announced 19 July 2017.

 4. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & CEREMONY

Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on 9 October 2017 in London.

5. FEEDBACK

Feedback on your entry will be available from the lead judge of your category following the awards ceremony on 9 October 2017.
